The company
Angrious was born in 2013 as an independent game studio that wanted to be politically incorrect. The name came from Darth Angrious, Leonardo's character in Knights of the Old Republic. The games were never finished. The name stayed.
Thirteen years later, Angrious is back as the home of what we do for love: the music of Noel O' Rand, Impermanentes and Supersonic Ones, the shows, the games, what we write about technology, and everything that fits none of those, which goes to B-Sides. We are not an agency and we are not looking for clients. We do it because we enjoy it. More than making products, Angrious exists to channel the creative energy we have and to stir up the cultural scene wherever it works.
In music, that means helping to keep a rock scene alive, the way bands did it before the internet, when one sold the other's CD and T-shirt after the show. We have done it before, at a pub Mari ran here in Nova Petrópolis: only bands with their own sound and a loyal crowd got on stage, cover bands included. In Highpine, the cover band the two of us played in, every song was our reading of it, never a copy.
For now, the house bands are ours. We choose the next ones carefully: a rock and roll attitude, songs that are their own even when someone else wrote them, and the will to grow together with the others. When it makes sense, Leonardo produces them, or helps them find a producer.
We are from Nova Petrópolis, in the mountains of southern Brazil.
